"I donn need it anymore..."

"I'm a big boy." is what he told Daddy yesterday morning.

So the bottles, scoops (formula) and pacifiers went into a box as a gift for Auntie Lindsay's baby...

Really. It was Alex's idea.

Stan & I were hopeful, skeptical, but hopeful, that it would stick. Could it really be that easy? Could we really get away with it?

Only bedtime could tell.

When changed into his PJ's Alex asked for "bottle and books", to which Stan replied "no, no bottle, but we can read books!" Alex gave a little squeek, so Stan reminded him that the bottles were for Lindsay's baby now.

And Alex was OK.

But when we tucked him in, he was very sad. He told me in barely a whisper "I need a pacicier..." It was so pathetic. I reminded him, "but you're a big boy now so we gave your pacifiers to Auntie Lindsay's baby".

Alex said, "I want to be a baby."

I reminded him that he naps at school without a pacifier, like a big boy! But he didn't buy it.

Then Daddy came to the rescue. He'd saved ONE pacifier, just for Alex. "But it's the only one... so when it's gone, there's no more."

Stan assures me that it will have a hole in it within a week's time. :)

We can only pray that potty training will be this easy!
